'24 In New York' is an instrumental concept album which follows a band making their debut visit to America for a gig in the 'Big Apple', September 2001. The band spend 24 hours in N.Y. , from arrival to departure.
Follow the journey through each moment, experience the streets and subways and hear a track from their gig, followed by their departure back to the U.K. on 9/11. As they board the 'plane to return home, they hear the news...
Track 1 (N.Y. Arrival) follows the landing and 'check in' of the band on their arrival to New York.
Track 2 (Downtown) finds the band travelling through the streets of New York to their hotel.
Track 3 (Cops) takes in the hustle and bustle of a busy NY street, the unmistakable sound of the NYPD whizzing past.
Track 4 (Subway) mirrors the band's journey to the gig on the subway, the omnipotent sound of the underground busker plying his trade.
Track 5 (High Five) is the band's opening number at the gig at 'Savvy's' on 51st Street.
Track 6 (Grey September) is representative of the journey home, the band having just learned of the twin towers disaster...
